Who chooses the Integrated Master Level
People who plan to open or run a preschool, lead an early years team, train other teachers or work with children who have additional needs choose the Integrated Master Level because it covers care, education, inclusion, phonics, classroom management and child psychology in one programme. It is designed for up to 24 months, and fast-track is free.
Study plan
Most learners complete the PG Diploma first, then the specialist certificates one at a time. At 6 hours a week the whole programme fits comfortably in two years; with fast-track and 10 to 12 hours a week, many finish in about a year.
Is it a degree?
No. It is a professional programme, not a university degree. Its value is depth and breadth of practical training. For a degree route, see LCT's B.Ed and M.Ed in Early Childhood Education on londoncollegeofteachers.co.uk.
Fees and payment

Entry requirements
A university degree (confirm with admissions). No previous teaching experience is needed. Schools and employers in some countries also ask for a degree or a local licence for lead-teacher roles.
How you are assessed
Each module ends with multiple-choice questions that you must pass before moving on, and the correct answers are shared after each attempt so you can learn from them. At this level you also complete case studies and lesson plans that tutors review, and a final project before your certificate is issued.
Practical experience
The course is studied online. If you have not worked with young children before, we strongly recommend arranging supervised time in a preschool, nursery, kindergarten, daycare or anganwadi near you while you study. Ask admissions whether a letter can support your placement.
